The World’s First Pay-By-Poker Restaurant?

Do you think your poker skills are sharp enough to put food on the table? Here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is.

Poker Restaurant

A new pop-up restaurant in London is allowing guests to win a free gourmet dinner by winning a few hands of poker.

The “All-In Kitchen” is the world’s first “pay by poker” eating establishment.

Rather than being led away by a hostess and attended to by a waiter, guests of the All-In Kitchen are shepherded to a poker table. Once there, a dealer hands each diner a $10,000 stack of chips.

Once the chips are in hand, guests move to the dining tables, where they play three hands of poker against fellow diners.

Those who end up with more than the allotted $10,000 are rewarded with a meal on the house. While fish and chips might sound like the appropriate choice, the menu actually features upscale cuisine such as lamb chops, king crab, bacon marmalade, and queen scallops.

A poker-themed cocktail also comes with dinner.

What happens if you lose all your chips? Not a problem — you can still buy dinner for the discount price of ten pounds.

The concept has proved immensely popular. The restaurant’s initial January run has already been extended.

The All-In Kitchen is a collaboration between PokerStars and Jones & Son restaurant. Though the first dates are limited to London, the show will eventually go on the road. PokerStars and Jones & Son plan on introducing the concept nationwide.

The pop up campaign is part of the rollout of the 2015 U.K. and Ireland Poker Tour. The five day event will be staged at the Hippodrome Casino beginning Jan. 20.

The event promises to be one of the highlights of the year for British poker players and fans.
