Wayne Rooney is adamant he is not going to leave England

England captain Wayne Rooney swears he will by no means retire from international football.

On Tuesday, Rooney, the Manchester United striker could revise the record books.  It will only take one goal to make him the country’s all time top goal-scorer if he scores for England against Switzerland. This will also make Rooney surpass Sir Bobby Charlton’s record.

Rooney scored his first international goal in a clash between England and Macedonia twelve years ago. His eagerness to stand for England remains as intense as ever.

England has qualified for Euro 2016 tournament and it will be Rooney’s seventh crucial international tournament playing for England, but he is not planning to stop there, more will come.

Rooney told Skysports.com that he’s not going to be the one saying he’s not available for selection. “It’s a huge privilege to play for my country and I’m sure it would possibly be the manager’s choice to select me”- Rooney said.

Rooney also expressed himself by saying; he feels he’s competent of leaving for Russia. Thereafter, it may possibly be a rational time to see how he feels and if he feels it’s not right for himself or England, he’ll have a choice to make.

On Friday, Rooney scored his 49th goal for England in a clash between England and San Marino, but he said “it will mean a lot to me to break the record at Wembley stadium.” He also said, Wembley is possibly the most symbolic stadium in world football and it will mean a lot for him to break the record there.
