IGT Extends Partnership Contract with Virginia Lottery

American gaming and lottery systems company International Game Technology (IGT) announced that it has extended its partnership with the Virginia Lottery. Under terms, IGT will provide the Virginia Lottery with lottery services and technology. International Gaming Technology said that it has signed the agreement through its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporations.

The seven-year agreement with Virginia Lottery has been signed after IGT had been selected as the preferred candidate among other participated bidders. The contract which will be valid up until 2024, could be extended by two or three years.

Under its terms, the Virginia lottery will be provided with Aurora’s components, which is one of the IGT’s latest lottery solutions. Aurora Open Retail will offer lottery providers a chance to support various types of retailer solutions devices. Virginia Lottery will also be given access to Aurora Lottery Services Portal as another component.

Commenting on the partnership, International Gaming Technology CEO, Michael Chambrello said they are happy to extend their partnership with the lottery provider. He further noted that the solutions provided to the company so far, have been based on widespread research of what the local market and Virginia customers want.

Over the past six years, Virginia Lottery has showed a significant sales growth of $1.8 billion including the most recent full-year sales.
