Lionel Messi And Luis Suarez Score Twice As Barcelona Punish Roma In The 6-1 Victory

Roma was very lucky only to concede six goals. Most of the time in their match, Maicon Sisenando and the rest of the Roma defence were on the back foot. Right now Barcelona seems unstoppable and it is not a fluke that they beat Madrid 4-0 last Saturday and now they thrash Roma with 6-1 goals.

Barcelona’s Group E qualification win over Roma on Tuesday guaranteed them a spot in the final 16 of the Championship League. They go through to the next round with 13 points from five games, eight points ahead of Roma and Leverkusen and BATE on four points from five games.

Barcelona is BACK!

It is no surprise that Barcelona is back and they are one of the favourite teams to win the Champions League with another compelling performance, just few days after tearing apart Madrid.

Suarez told the media that each player goes out to try and do exactly what is expected of him. They played a perfect game on Tuesday. He added by saying that himself, Messi and Neymar are team players and they look to help the entire team. Messi is the best player in the world and he’s happy for him to have scored twice playing the full match, Suarez added. Messi started his first match and scored twice after coming from a knee injury in September.

There is still hope for ROMA

Edin Dzeko managed to score a consolation goal in the last minutes. The draw between BATE and Luverkusen kept Roma’s options alive. This means that if Roma wins over BATE in the final match, they will open doors for them into the knockout round.
